Child safeguarding
Every child, safe and respected
The welfare of every player is our highest priority, on and off the pitch.
Our commitment
Rangers Football Academy believes that every child has the right to enjoy football in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment, free from harm, abuse, neglect, discrimination and bullying.
How we keep players safe
- Responsible supervision of players by coaches at all sessions, matches and trips.
- Age-appropriate training, adequate rest and access to water and first aid.
- Coaches avoid unsupervised one-to-one situations with players.
- Communication with players under 18 is conducted through, or copied to, parents or guardians.
- Images are only taken and shared with parental consent.
- Players are released only to parents, guardians or adults authorised by them.
Parents and guardians
We welcome appropriate parental involvement. Parents are asked to keep contact details up to date, complete the Medical Information Form, inform us of any medical needs and support a positive touchline culture.
Raising a concern
If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of any child connected to the academy, please speak to the academy management immediately or contact us confidentially by phone or email. All concerns are taken seriously, recorded and acted upon. Where a child is at immediate risk, contact the police or the national child helpline (116).
